Memorial Service Coordination
At no other time are the services of an event planner probably more called for than at an event marking the end of someone's life. While planning parties and weddings is fun, planning a memorial service is difficult at best, particularly if you live far away from the location. It can also be difficult if you want to plan something other than the traditional funeral ritual. Let us help you by being a kind, compassionate, professional means of support throughout the whole process.
A typical memorial service coordination package includes assistance with:
Location selection
Choosing of theme, readings, and music
Hiring of officiant and musicians or other performers
Writing of the obituary, announcements, invitations, and programs
Rehearsal with officiant and/or master of ceremonies
Ordering flowers or other decorations
Greeting and assisting guests
Directing order of events
Hiring of videographer or photographer for event
If there will be a reception afterwards, food, refreshments, etc.
Some related services for which we can make arrangements:
Assistance with child care during service
Assistance with inventorying, packing and/or disposition of personal effects
Transportation and assistance for elderly attendees
Dove or Balloon Release
Preparation of a scrapbook, slide show, PowerPoint or other mixed media presentation documenting the life of the person
Referrals to qualified attorneys for assistance in settling the estate
*Please note that licensed funeral homes are the only professionals that may handle funeral services with casketed remains, burials, cremations, etc.
Memorial Service Pre-Planning
People are always saying, "At my funeral, I want you to ..." If you are serious about seeing your wishes fulfilled, we will be glad to assist you in formulating a plan, documenting it, and referring you to a qualified attorney who can incorporate your plan into a formal legal document for your survivors to act upon when the time comes. Our kind and caring associates help those in good health and in bad, in hospitals, and in hospices, and we'll be glad to help you wherever you are on the road of life.
