"A little history: I come from a family of small business owners. I was born an entreprenuer and had always wanted to own my own business, Events for You actually began when I purchased a small business called "Weddings Just for You" from a lovely lady named Madeline Metts in 1993, who had, in turn, purchased it from a friend in 1989. It made sense because I had a ton of experience with weddings and parties (it's a southern belle thing), as well as non profit fundraising events, plus 10 years in the retail world. Weddings Just for You was a bridal shop as well as a wedding planning business. I found I has a talent and a love for event planning that I never knew I had, so I closed the shop in 1994, but kept the planning business, and it has been growing ever since. In 1999, I changed the name to "Events for You" to reflect the fact that they I was managing all kinds of events, not just weddings. Sometimes it has been a part time business, sometimes a full time business, but even when I was working for someone else, I was always the one called on to plan the events. Today, we are a full-time wedding and event planning business with a team of planners. I love how this small business has grown!" Eleanor
