Festivals and Parades
Outdoor events bring big ideas to life, but big events require a complex set of skills to manage. From site layout and stage design, to licenses and permits, from vendor and volunteer coordination, to timing and logistics, not to mention security and safety, we handle every detail so you can focus on the overall experience. Whether you’re producing a music or dance festival, food and drink fair, team-building adventure, or a competition or exhibition, we have the experience to ensure a safe, organized, and memorable event, from setup to breakdown.
We are the only event planning business in our area with extensive experience planning parades, including the Asheville Holiday Parade and the Mardi Gras Parade. Planning a parade is event planning on steroids. All the elements of event planning are there, but the actual event is in motion, with hundreds of entries and thousands of spectators. Contact us about putting your event into motion.
Click below to watch an episode of the UNC-TV (PBS) program Our State that features the Asheville Holiday parade Eleanor Campbell organized in 2005. The parade had over 100 entries, 25,000+ spectators, and requires coordinating police, fire, emergency and street services as well as street vendors, VIP's, media, and 1,000 participants of all ages. Ms. Campbell coordinated the parade for the last three years when it was run by a non profit called Asheville Merchants Corporation. Today, the parade is handled by the Asheville Downtown Association, and she is a key volunteer.
