Wedding Director-Some Examples

"Both of our parents are divorced and remarried, and I am not sure who should walk me down the aisle, who sits where, etc."

"I need someone to handle all the details that day so we can enjoy ourselves and visit with our family and friends who have come so far to join us."

"We will be on a tight budget -- we need help sticking to it."

"The church has a wedding director (or the reception location has a manager) but I'm not that crazy about her. I'm not sure she is going to do what I want."

"We want to do something special with the ceremony. We are just not sure how to do it."

"How am I going to do everything that day? My bridesmaids and I have to get our hair done, the guys are playing golf, and my mom is hosting a brunch for out of town guests. The manager (or florist) can't do it all! I want to make sure everything looks exactly the way I planned it."

"We have a caterer, a band, a photographer, a florist, a cake person, a limo, but who can then coordinate them all?  Who will make sure they are doing what they are supposed to be doing?"

Wedding Planner-Some Examples

"I grew up Catholic and my husband grew up Jewish and we are having a lot of conflicts between our families' expectations. We can't agree on a place to hold the ceremony, much less who would officiate."

"My mother is deceased and I don't have any sisters or other female relatives that I feel close to. I need someone to be my mom through all this."

"My family is from the east coast and his family is from the midwest. So we decided to get married somewhere in between. I need someone there I can trust who can help set everything up."

"My mother (or mother-in-law) and I do not see eye-to-eye on anything about this wedding. We need a go-between to help mediate, otherwise this is going to be the wedding from hell."

"Our daughter is marrying into a family that is rather wealthy, and I am not sure how to do everything properly. Also, my husband and I don't have a lot of money to spend on this, and I need help making it as elegant as I can on a limited budget."

"My fiance and I are going to be paying for our wedding ourselves, and we are on a very tight budget. We need help creating a meaningful, yet fun, event on a tight budget."

"We have a huge family and lots of friends so this is turning into an enormous undertaking. I am feeling so overwhelmed that I am in tears. I need help with everything!"
