If you are planning a wedding in Asheville, you should be aware that, while the weather is mild and agreeable most of the time, conditions change frequently. A favorite saying here is, "If you don't like the weather, just wait a minute, it will probably change." Meteorologists blame this on our location between two giant mountain ranges -- the Great Smoky Mountains and the Blue Ridge Mountains. We enjoy four distinct seasons, with snowy, cold winters, cool, rainy springs, hot, bright summers, and crisp falls with lots of color. While outdoor weddings look nice on t.v., most of them are filmed in sunny, dry Southern California. If any part of your event is going to be outdoors, we encourage you to plan for inclement weather.
