A Wedding Planner is someone who helps brides and mothers who are inexperienced at planning large events, who are planning destination weddings, or who are just organizationally-challenged.  Wedding Planners are typically hired early in the process, but they can also come in later to manage an event that has gotten out of control. In general, a wedding planner gives you more time than a director, and is more closely involved in helping you make pre-wedding decisions. She is present throughout the week of the event, directing activities, putting out fires, and managing all the little details.  While we do a lot of planning as part of our directing services, our typical Wedding Planning packages include:

  • Many pre-wedding consultations by phone, email, or in person

  • Advice on style (colors, theme)  and layout

  • Location research and selection

  • Interview, selection, and close supervision of vendors for:

    • food and beverage

    • flowers and other decorations

    • music for ceremony and reception

    • photography and videography

    • guest accommodations

    • transportation

    • rentals

    • invitations and other printed materials

  • Personalized budget

  • Personalized checklist for the months leading up to the event

  • Advice on the selection of:

    •  bridal and wedding party attire

    • menu

    •  food/wine pairing

    • wedding registry

  • Advice on manners and etiquette 

  • Proofreading all print and web materials to assure correct spelling, grammar

  • Basic website setup and/or maintenance

  • Detailed itineraries for the wedding party and all vendors for the week of the wedding, and the day of the ceremony and reception

  • Being "on-call" the whole  week of the event for last-minute consultations and assistance 

  • Assembly and delivery of  guest welcome kits, programs, favors

  • Assisting officiant in directing rehearsal/ceremony

  • Coordinating vendor arrival, set up, and breakdown

  • Helping with  set up and decorating

  • Assisting wedding party and family with anything they need that day, including dressing and flowers

  • Greeting and assisting guests

  • Coordinating reception events so that they are completed on a timely basis

  • Policing event area for trash, noise, and other distractions 

  • Supervising breakdown and cleanup,  assuring all locations are left in excellent condition

  • Loan of any accessories we have in stock (cake stand, punch bowl, emergency kit, clothes steamer, and a small inventory of reception decorations) at no additional charge

Each wedding planning package is customized for the client. We charge a flat fee, which is based on the size of the event and the number of staff required. After a deposit, the fee can be paid monthly. Call or email us for a quote.

 Address list setup and maintenance (in the software program of your choice) and invitation and response tracking can be added for an additional charge.
