A Wedding Planner is someone who helps brides and mothers who are inexperienced at planning large events, who are planning destination weddings, or who are just organizationally-challenged. Wedding Planners are typically hired early in the process, but they can also come in later to manage an event that has gotten out of control. In general, a wedding planner gives you more time than a director, and is more closely involved in helping you make pre-wedding decisions. She is present throughout the week of the event, directing activities, putting out fires, and managing all the little details.
