A destination wedding is defined as any wedding that takes
place in a location other than the bride's hometown. These days, with families
scattered all over the world, most weddings end up being destination events for
everyone involved. There are also "destination anniversaries" in which
family and friends are invited to an exotic location to help you celebrate or
renew your vows. While you can find a lot of information on the internet, we
highly recommend hiring a local, experienced wedding planner to assist you. We
know the best locations, the best vendors, and can negotiate better prices for
you due to the volume of events we do with some of these people. Also, we have
knowledge of, and access to, private locations and special vendors that are not
advertised anywhere. Here
are some of Events for You's favorite destinations:
|
Destination:
Western North Carolina
Destination:
Charleston
Destination: Iceland
Destination: Anywhere |
Destination:
Western North Carolina
Western
North Carolina (WNC for short) is a
great place for a destination wedding. Whether you get married on a
farm, or at a resort, or beside a castle, the beautiful mountains in the background will
make your event especially picturesque. The weather is mild most of the year,
and there are lots of activities for guests of all ages and
interests to keep them entertained during their visit. WNC is
centrally located between the Deep South, the East Coast, and the
Midwest, and within 2-3 hours of Atlanta, Charlotte, Columbia,
Knoxville, and Raleigh/Durham. Events for You is based in WNC, and
some of the local cities where we do weddings include: Asheville, Brevard, Hendersonville, Highlands,
Hot Springs, Lake Junaluska, Little Switzerland, and Waynesville.

Destination: Charleston
Charleston, South Carolina, is a seaside
metropolis suiting many different personalities. For a vintage feel,
there is the city of Charleston itself, with its historic churches
and hotels dating from the 18th century, and numerous, antebellum
plantations. For a more casual wedding, there are the beaches.
Charleston is our home away from home, and we love to travel there.
Some of our favorite locations for weddings here are: Downtown Charleston, Wild Dunes, Isle of Palms,
and Folly Beach. We also like nearby Pawley's Island, and the North Carolina coast, particularly
Wilmington.

Destination:
Iceland
Picture rugged mountains, snowy peaks, black sand
beaches, fiery volcanoes, and natural hot springs around every turn.
It's not Hawaii. It's Iceland. Through a curious twist of
fate, it happens that Eleanor Ivey Campbell is half-Icelandic and
has traveled to Iceland many times. If you want a place that is
exotic and different, why not make Iceland your destination? And why
not hire an experienced, Icelandic-speaking "Brúðskaupsplænír"
with lots of local connections to help you? There are a variety of
excellent sites at which to get married, from natural and rural, to
ultramodern. We'll be glad to arrange everything!

Destination:
Anywhere
Combine your wedding and honeymoon, invite your
closest relatives and best friends, and take a cruise. Anywhere. The
''WeddingMoon" can be surprisingly affordable for
everyone involved. It's great for anniversaries, too. With the
assistance of our experienced travel agent and cruise planning
associates,
we'd be glad to help you make all the arrangements.
