I hold an A.B. Degree in Political Science from Duke University, with additional education in Computers and Web Design; Fundraising; Alumni Relations; Leadership; Personnel Management; and Records Management.

I have experience in a wide variety of industries, including: Retail and Wholesale Sales; State Government; Non-profit; Computers and Telecommunications; Bookkeeping and Taxes; Human Resources; Volunteer Management; Fundraising; Political Campaigns; Hotel/Restaurant; Medical Office; and Real Estate.

 

EVENT MANAGEMENT EXPERTISE

I am a native of Asheville, North Carolina, and the South. I have been planning weddings and events here for 15 years. After being in a variety of retail jobs, (and numerous weddings), I purchased a bridal shop called Weddings for You in 1993. Being a naturally organized person, I found that I enjoyed the planning side of weddings more than the retail side. So I changed the name to Events for You, and have been doing wedding and event planning ever since. I truly feel that God has given me certain talents in this area, so this is my career. Plus, it is so much fun!
